HOW IT WORKS
A fleeting moment captured forever on canvas - having a live painter at your event will not only impress your guests, but you’ll have a timeless, one of a kind memento of the day that will last a lifetime.
The whole process is simple and non-invasive - all I need is a small spot to work in and a decent view of the action. I work from a combination of first hand observation and photos, allowing me to capture everything with a high level of detail and realism.
You choose the moment - I can paint any scene from your big day - the vows, the confetti throw, the first dance, or perhaps an intimate moment in a location of choice. I’m here to capture any of it in a way that no one else can.
Usually I’ll arrive 2 hours before proceedings to start on the groundwork. The whole process on the day takes roughly 6 hours. I’ll then reveal the ‘finished’ article to you, before taking it back to the studio for some fine-tuning. The final piece is returned to you varnished and framed.
Unlike most other wedding painters, I work in oils. My paintings not only stand the test of time, but have a softness and nostalgic feel that can only be captured in oil. And you don’t need to worry about any fumes, all my paint and thinners are odourless.
The default canvas size is 24” x 20” - perfect for capturing all those important details. Larger options are also available on request.
